It’s a cold February day, but not as cold as yesterday. The sun is out; the sky is blue. I sip coffee from my favorite mug, and imagine flowers ready to bloom. I shuffle through my closet to find something warm, glancing longingly at summer dresses waiting patiently for the opportunity to accompany grandmother’s strand of pearls.
Today seemed like a nice day to recall an old painting, a friend. She was my business logo for a few years and still charms me to this day. She makes me think of winter dressed in a Mona Lisa smile.
Happy February,
~ Jennifer

What a gorgeous painting! And yes, let's all keep longing for spring--while the cold seems to be deepening, we are on the backside of winter.
Love this!
